Sandeep K. Kakaria, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, who has performed thousands of ophthalmic surgeries.  Dr. Kakaria completed his undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated as valedictorian.  He was then an award-winning student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree.  After performing an internal medicine internship at

Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Kakaria completed his ophthalmology training at the prestigious Cornell University/ New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Kakaria has published numerous textbook chapters, articles, and abstracts, as well as given lectures in the field of ophthalmology.  One of his most recent works includes “Chapter 3: Corneal Biomechanics” in the popular ophthalmology textbook, Irregular Astigmatism.  Dr. Kakaria is an avid reader, spending his free time keeping up-to-date with the latest ophthalmic literature and current events.  He enjoys personal fitness, including swimming and lifting weights.  He is married and has two children.
